Established by the two countries’ partners, Becamex IDC Corporation (Vietnam) and Sembcorp Group (Singapore).

BLOCK71 Saigon is a strategic partnership between the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Becamex IDC, Vietnam’s leading industrial park developer. It is a platform that connects Vietnamese tech startups with global markets and resources, providing mentorship and support for international growth. Since its inception in October 2020, BLOCK71 Saigon has developed a vibrant startup community and fostered partnerships with key stakeholders, including universities, venture capital funds and corporations. BLOCK71’s roots can be traced back to Singapore in 2011, when NUS, Singtel Innov8 and the Media Development Authority repurposed an old industrial building, Blk 71 Ayer Rajah Crescent, into a startup hub. This transformation has helped to foster Singapore’s tech ecosystem. Today, BLOCK71 Singapore spans six buildings and continues to be home to hundreds of startups, venture capitalists, incubators and accelerators. BLOCK71 continues to expand its efforts, fostering new initiatives and supporting local and international tech entrepreneurs.

Becamex R&D Institute promotes research and innovation activities, to gradually strengthen the capacity of enterprises with creative solutions, to promote the development of production infrastructure in Vietnam.
